Stevie's been found!!

On the Hunt

While hunting for clues to find Stevie we were taken to every floor of the Library in search to find the clues/letters that would eventually lead us to the location where Stevie was being held.  

We found a clue

It was too early for a Monday, but my friends and I had a group project due that night. One that we had been neglecting over the weekend. As we trudged up the steps to the 6th floor towards the research section, we found ourselves face to face with something we weren’t expecting. There was a single letter taped to a Smithsonian book; on the back there was some writing as well. The message was clear, our beloved mascot Stevie Pointer had been kidnapped. The message also included a clue to the next letter, letters that would eventually lead us to Stevie’s location. Even though we were all unfamiliar with the area, we worked together as a group to figure out the clues and find all of the letters. As we navigated through 6 different floors looking for clues, we eventually found all of the letters. Once we discovered all the clues it was time to decode the letters and put them into the correct order so we could rescue Stevie. The word was, “Archives” which meant it was back to the sixth floor. This trip was a little more sweet than bitter though, seeing how we were about to find Stevie! The six floors were nothing underneath our feet as we rushed upstairs to find the archives. We burst through the door and there he was, sitting on a table.

Overall this was a fun experience that allowed us to meet new people in our class and it provided us with a very entertaining way of learning about the library and where different resources can be found in the library.
